The Council on Environmental Quality coordinates federal environmental efforts and works closely with agencies and other White House offices in the development of environmental policies and initiatives. The Council's Chair, who is appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, serves as the principal environmental policy adviser to the President.

Thomas databases offer the House Floor This Week, Quick Search of Text of Bills, Legislation (Bills, Public Laws, Votes), the Congressional Record, Committee Information (Reports, House and Senate Committee home pages, schedules, hearings) and more.
